H.Y.P.E. Team (Healthy You Peer Encouragement)
The W2W Healthy You Peer Encouragement Team is comprised of young people ages 14-21, who want to be a positive influence to youth in their community.
The team meets once a week virtually, and once a month in person to create social media content and videos for PRC’s W2W Healthy You™ program. In addition to media creation, twice a semester, representatives from the team present in schools throughout West Michigan promoting the same pursuit of healthy relationships and sexual risk avoidance that they have chosen for themselves.
Serving on the H.Y.P.E. Team offers experience in several skill sets, such as content development (film and graphic design), acting, marketing, public speaking, and leadership. By serving on the team, students gain volunteer hours, scholarship opportunities, and experience for college applications and resumes.
Special Projects Team
The W2W Special Projects Team is a group of students and young adults who assist PRC’s W2W Healthy You™ program in supporting the pursuit of healthy relationships among students in our community, but who cannot commit to weekly meetings.
Members of the Special Projects Team are called on periodically (approx. every 4-6 weeks) to help with specific projects, such as preparing classroom materials, assisting in social media and video content creation, and other behind-the-scenes W2W event prep.
