Due to a large number of recent crib recalls, the PRC can no longer accept used drop-side cribs for donation. We foresee a shortage of used cribs for the next 2 to 3 years, as most cribs sold in the U.S. prior to 2010 were drop-side cribs.
The demand for a safe place for a baby to sleep continues to rise. In 2009, the PRC distributed 67 cribs to clients in need (45 used / 22 new). So far in 2010, we’ve distributed 58 cribs (5 used / 53 new).
